Most of us feel very uneasy before going on a stage or in front of a live tv-camera. Rationally you can tell yourself that even if it all goes wrong, in a few hours you will still be alive, that you’ll still have your friends and your job. And you’ll be right. Even if you forget what to say, stutter and run crying off stage, the actual impact on your life is not that important. It’s not a matter of life and death, is it?

Showing the audience a snippet of code can be an easy way of getting a complex concept across. Bekk being a tech-company it is inevitable that we will have to show code in our presentations at some point, which often leads to the question; how do I make my code look good?

Mondays. Mondays may be the time for contemplation and relaxation after the first working day of the week. However, Mondays may also be a good time to find your favourite position in the sofa, lean back and learn talk skills from others presenting. This blog post introduces talk analysis as a tool to be a become a better presenter yourself.

When creating a presentation it's good to have your own style, adding your own touch. Over the years creating different presentations for conferences or for a demo, I have developed my own approach when creating the slides. I want to present it for you, and I hope you like it!

On how you might unintentionnaly test people's multitasking skills during your presentations

Short and succinct presentations conveying a message crafted with flawless precision. Accompanied by a set number of slides shown for a limited time. Presenters pacing their speech to line up with perfection as the next slide appears. Lightning talks are like regular talks. Only on steroids.

I had been working as a developer for a good 12 years when I was approached by my manager, and asked if I could assume the position of team lead for a while.
